Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

This year Nace and Wyatt came into town with their kids for Valentine’s day. We made heart shaped pizza’s and sugar cookies and celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa. It was great. I figure that with Adrian and I not having kids yet everyday is really like Valentine’s day for us so I love hanging out with the kids and playing around on Valentine’s day. It also happens to be Jordyn’s and Dad’s birthday soon so poor Tam and grandma brought over 2 cakes and we totally overdosed on sugar!!! Here are some pics…Happy V-day/Birthday one and all!!!!

Adrian and I went with Tanner and Marissa and our friends Cameron and Summer to the Peking Acrobat show. Let me tell you…it was stellar!! These Asian people are amazing! They bend in ways I didn’t know was possible. I am now totally motivated to do some yoga and bend in half.

So if you ever get a chance….GO!!!

Activity Days!!

Mom and I have been called to be the Activity Days leaders for the 10-11 year olds. Let me tell you…so far it has been fun and EASY! Best calling ever…right next to the Relief Society Newsletter (way easy..if you ever want to hit the jackpot with callings…move next door). We have 7 or so girls that actually come and enjoy it. So if anyone has any fun ideas..HOOK A GIRL UP!!!

Christmas this year was a blast! We live in the same house as Mom and Dad so it makes holidays really really easy. No traveling, no stress…just hangout out with the family. Games and all. Living here definitely has its perks. I LOVE YOU FAMILY!!!!

Cooking

Adrian and I love to cook!!! We took a weekend and did just that. We made and bottled salsa. We didn’t get the recipe just right so we made a few batches…sweet, spicy, and super spicy!! It ended up great…and started out questionable.

We then got all excited and made homemade whole grain pitas and made pita chips out of them. I felt like I was on a role so I started homemade granola. YUM!! We couldn’t agree on how much sugar to use so we made a yum sugary batch, a healthy batch, and a bare naked down to earth really healthy batch!!! While I put that together Adrian restocked our supply of pesto and marinated sun dried tomatoes. I love getting back to basics and cooking for real. Store bought is so over-rated! If anyone has any nummy healthy recipes…WE ARE ALL EARS!!!

Hiking Palisades this weekend was an eye opener for us. I don’t think I have thought of hiking in Idaho for decades…we always wait until we are on vacation and do crazy long fun waterfall hikes. Cody and Melanie Martin stayed the night Friday and talked us into going hiking Saturday. Let me tell you…Idaho can actually be pretty! It was gorgeous. I know everyone in the world has probably done the Palisades Lake/Creek hike but this was a first for us…(well the first I remember…if Dad reads this he is totally going to complain that he did his duty as a father and took me there when I was little….sorry dad don’t remember..you wasted your time ). It is good to remember that we live in a beautiful place and I don’t have to take a plane ride to enjoy the beauty of the world. I bought a book “Trails of Eastern Idaho” and I think we may just go straight through and explore…ANYONE WANT TO EXPLORE IDAHO? call me.

YUMMY CAKE EATING TIMES!!

We got the MOST delicious cake for mom/brayden’s birthday…Mint Chocolate something cake from Rutabagas…..mucho delicioso..(I don’t speak any spanish as you can tell) anywho..as you know I am on a total health kick. This cake was rich so after half a bite you are done eating…IT WAS PERFECT! It was also HUGE so mom got to eat it for days.

Then came my/trish’s birthday cake….Ice cream cake….needless to say..I am a big fan of birthdays. Vicki sent me a bike rack for our mountain bikes..now Adrian and I can BOTH go play. I am stoked. Now I just have to learn to mountain bike..hahaha.

This week, we gave our first dog to a different owner… woe. is. me. He was my pillow, my work-out motivation, my punching bag… only kind of, my vacuum, and my cuddle buddy (when Adrian ditched). You would all remember him with a close up of his nose right in your face, so you should really relate to the picture where all you see is just that… So this post is for Ko… we’ll miss you buddy! We hope you have fun on bigger pastures and sunnier days…

Hey, we just fixed up our blog to be with a new system. Instead of blogger, we’re now with Wordpress. There’s more functionality and a whole slew of themes! We’ve also grabbed a domain name and slipped it on to Xeoen.com’s hosting. We’ll be changing up the design a bit to match the title of the blog, but other than that, it’s still the same old blog…
